The signing ceremony was held at the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) of the Vocational College UGM on Tuesday morning, from 09.00 to 13.00 WIB, marking an important milestone in strengthening collaboration between higher vocational education and the heavy equipment industry. read more

Yogyakarta, December 1, 2025 — Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed an official delegation from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in research, academic activities, and cross-border professional exchange. The meeting was held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 15:00 to 16:00 WIB, at the Rector’s Guest Room, Main Building of UGM, North Wing, 2nd Floor.

The NUAA delegation was led by Prof. TAO Yong, Vice Chairman of the University Board, accompanied by Prof. KONG Chuiqian, Dr. ZHANG Guoquan, Dr. ZHANG Lin, Dr. WU Weiwei, and Prof. JIN Quanyuan. From UGM, the meeting was attended by university and faculty leaders, including the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Dean of the Vocational College, the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources of the Vocational College, the Director of Partnerships and Global Relations, and the Head of the International Cooperation Subdirectorate. read more

Advanced Hydraulic Systems Training for Vocational School Teachers

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), Vocational School of Universitas Gadjah Mada, conducted an Advanced Hydraulic Systems Training program for vocational high school (SMK) teachers as part of its community service initiative. This program aims to strengthen teachers’ technical competence in response to rapid advancements in manufacturing and industrial automation technologies in the Industry 4.0 era.

The training was delivered by DTM instructors and experts specializing in hydraulic systems and industrial automation. Held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the program was scheduled to align with competency development activities for partner vocational schools. read more

DTM SV UGM Hosts International Guest Lecture on Mechatronic Control with UPM Malaysia

Yogyakarta, 29 October 2025 — The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), Vocational School, Universitas Gadjah Mada held an International Guest Lecture titled “Application-Driven Mechatronic Control: Bridging Design and Performance in Robotic Systems.” This event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of mechatronics by exploring both fundamental concepts and practical applications in modern robotic and control systems.

The session featured Dr. Azizan Bin As’arry from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), an academic with extensive research experience in mechatronics and control engineering. The lecture was conducted online via Zoom and attended by students from multiple classes within DTM SV UGM. read more

Yogyakarta – On Wednesday, 29 October 2025, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTM SV UGM), welcomed a benchmarking visit from the Industrial Mechanical Engineering Department, Vocational College, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (DTMI SV ITS). The activity took place from 13.30 to 16.00 WIB in the Meeting Room of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jl. Yacaranda, Sekip Unit IV.

The delegation from DTMI SV ITS was led by Dr. Atria Pradityana, S.T., M.T., as Head of Department, accompanied by faculty members. The visit was received by Dr. Ir. The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), Vocational College of Universitas Gadjah Mada, carried out a community service initiative titled “Enhancing the Competence of Waste-Conscious Communities through Innovation and Engineering in Kulon Progo Regency” on 8–10 September 2025. The program was led by Dr. Eng. Ir. Agustinus Winarno, S.T., M.Eng., supported by lecturers, students, educational staff, and local community partners. The implementation team included Handoko, Setyawan Bekti Wibowo, Irfan Bahiuddin, Bambang Hari Priyambodo, Luthfi Athaya Wicaksono, and Ahmad Muhsin Al Mataromi, together with collaborators from KSM Melati and KSM Dadi Asri, represented by Royke Oktavianus Labiro and Suyatin. read more
