SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA – The Heavy Equipment Management and Maintenance Engineering (TPPAB) study programme, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTM SV UGM), has completed an engine test bench (ETB) for the Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 common-rail diesel engine, the power unit of the PC200-8 excavator. The facility was built at the Industrial Machine Maintenance Laboratory of DTM SV UGM between April and October 2026. It is designed to revisit low power, a problem that heavy equipment frequently suffers in the field. read more

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), Vocational College of Universitas Gadjah Mada, carried out a community service initiative titled “Enhancing the Competence of Waste-Conscious Communities through Innovation and Engineering in Kulon Progo Regency” on 8–10 September 2025. The program was led by Dr. Eng. Ir. Agustinus Winarno, S.T., M.Eng., supported by lecturers, students, educational staff, and local community partners.
