Yogyakarta — Mechanical Fair UGM 2026 featured a talk show titled “Sustainable Mechanical Innovation: Advancing Energy Efficiency and Clean Technology for a Better Society” as a discussion forum bringing together academics, students, and industry practitioners. The event was held on May 21, 2026, at TILC SV UGM, Jalan Blimbingsari, Caturtunggal, Kapanewon Depok, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The session aimed to broaden participants’ understanding of sustainable mechanical innovation, energy efficiency, and clean technology in response to current societal and industrial needs.

ETI Fire & Lubrication contributed to the session through the participation of its Chief Executive Officer, who also serves as a Board Advisor of the Indonesian Association of Heavy Equipment Experts (PERTAABI). The presence of an industry practitioner provided participants with practical perspectives on industrial development, professional challenges, and the competencies required by future mechanical engineering professionals.

Throughout the presentation and interactive discussion, participants gained insights into the application of sustainable technologies in industry, including the importance of energy efficiency, occupational safety, and adaptability to technological advancement. The session also emphasized that innovation in mechanical engineering should support not only productivity, but also positive social and environmental outcomes.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada extends its appreciation to ETI Fire & Lubrication for its support and collaboration in Mechanical Fair UGM 2026. This collaboration plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between higher education and industry while supporting the development of competent, adaptive, and work-ready vocational graduates.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
