DTM SV UGM Laboratory Technician Named Outstanding Staff at UGM Vocational College’s 2025 Anniversary Celebration

Yogyakarta, October 28, 2025 — Mujiraharjo, S.T., a Laboratory Technician from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM), has been awarded as the Outstanding Educational Staff during the 2025 UGM Vocational College Anniversary Ceremony. This recognition honors his exceptional dedication and achievements in supporting the implementation of education, research, and community service within the department.

Throughout his tenure, Mujiraharjo has demonstrated remarkable performance through various achievements. In professional development, he strengthened his expertise in design and manufacturing by earning the BNSP 3D CAD Drawing Certification (2022) and the international Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) credential (2025).

He also led two successfully funded innovation programs: the UGM Online Micro-Credential Module Development Grant titled Rapid Prototyping for Industrial Acceleration (February 10, 2025) and the PKPLP Grant 2025 titled Development of a Plastic Bottle Waste Processing Tool into 3D Printer Filaments (February 28, 2025). These programs have strengthened laboratory resources and supported sustainable innovation at DTM SV UGM.

In the field of research and intellectual property, he contributed to multiple Intellectual Property (IP) submissions, including a patent for the Desktop Wound Dimension Scanner and several industrial designs such as the Portable Wound Scanner, Digital Artificial Insemination Handgrip, and Dental Articulator with Hinge Drive (v1–v5). His active involvement also extends to the development of precision mixing devices, soft robotics-based rehabilitation robots, and recycling machines converting plastic waste into 3D printer filament.

Furthermore, Mujiraharjo plays an important role in Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities, mentoring students in projects such as skin scanner, automatic doser, and heavy-equipment hydraulic systems. His guidance ensures that laboratory activities and student projects are conducted effectively and safely.

This award highlights the vital contribution of educational staff to the advancement of academic and technological innovation within the university.

His achievements are closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), by promoting vocational education, innovation, and environmentally responsible laboratory practices.
