ABOUT US

Mechanical Engineering Department of Vocational College UGM, a campus that provides
proper facilities in all fields by utilizing technological developments. We are proud to offer
partner students to take part in the summer program at Vocational College UGM. Students
will not only gain knowledge, experience, and skill development, but they will also get
supporting facilities during class activities

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides special practice for partner students
to gain deeper knowledge about Digital Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping. Students
will receive material including: rapid prototyping techniques, the processes carried out, the
tools used and how to use them, and create innovative product concepts and implement
them in real-world applications. The result of this program is to provide training to students
to make products using 3D printing effectively using technological developments.

THE PROGRAM FEATURES

During your 2 weeks of intensive study at Vocational College UGM, you will be present for 7
hours per day with various subjects. There are several learning outcomes that will be
achieved in this course: understand and use techniques for processing of CAD models for
rapid prototyping, understand and apply fundamentals of rapid prototyping techniques,
demonstrate appropriate tooling for rapid prototyping process, and use rapid prototyping
techniques for reverse engineering. Moreover, you can improve your skills in Rapid
Prototyping techniques, CAD 3D Design, and Wood Laser Cutting.
